EXERCISE is wonderful to keep the body ticking nicely, prevent disease and maintain independent living.
If we have a life-long habit of daily exercise, it is possible to stay relatively fit and active. Eat simple and nutritious meals. Abstain from smoking and drinking and keep positive mental habits.
Gardening is a valuable outdoor exercise that many enjoy. Fresh air, sunlight and creativity are enhanced in the garden.
Depending on our age, we may like to design a simple exercise programme, gradually upgrading according to our level of fitness.
For instance, we can walk for an additional 10 minutes per day to increase our physical capacity.
I have been exercising since I was 30 years old. I did various exercises such as running, skipping, hatha yoga and walking.
I am still exercising at the age of 70. I take brisk walks and go to the gym three times a week to lift light weights. Vaio X - Just Right. Nothing More.
The benefits are tremendous. When there is health, there’s wealth. And when there is health and wealth, there is happiness.
