FBMKLCI to hit 1,710 by year-end: Maybank
Maybank Investment Bank Bhd, part of Malaysia’s biggest lender by assets, forecast the country’s key stock index will rise to a record 1,710 points by the end of this year.
That would be a 12.6 per cent gain from the benchmark FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI Index close of 1,518.91 at the end of 2010.
The 30-member index will rally on stronger corporate earnings and liquidity flows into emerging markets, Maybank said in a report today. -- Bloomberg
