EPF sends status updates for 2009 to 6.3m members
THE Employees Provident Fund (EPF) has delivered 6.33 million members' account statements for 2009 as part of efforts to keep members' informed of the status of their pension fund savings.
An advertising campaign is also being run from June 21 to July 11 this year through television and radio as a reminder for members to check their account statements.
EPF general manager for public relations, Nik Affendi Jaafar, said EPF account statements are important to help members keep track of their retirement savings.
"Therefore we strongly urge our members to thoroughly check their statements to ensure that their savings are in order and that their employers are playing their part in submitting the contributions to the EPF on time," he said in a statement yesterday.
Members can also obtain their account statements via the EPF Kiosk by using MyKad and thumbprint identification.
These kiosks are available at EPF branches and third party premises such as Institut Jantung Negara, Permodalan Nasional Berhad Headquarters, selected branches of RHB Bank, RHB Islamic Bank, AmBank, CIMB Bank, Citibank, Public Bank and HSBC Bank.
Alternatively, members with i-Akaun can also view and print their statements at the comfort of their residence or workplace.
Members can also request for their statements at any EPF branches simply by producing their MyKad.
However, any requests for statements via telephone will not be considered due to security reasons.
